We had an ancient copper beech (with a TPO) which had sadly developed a disease, meaning it needed to be removed from its position right next to our house. Anna efficiently completed all relevant documentation and dealt with the council prior to permission being granted. She, and other members of the team, gave a considerable amount of her time to visit the site on several occasions prior to the work being carried out. It was clear that this was going to be a very well planned operation.

Bright and early on the day, a team of 7, along with chippers, several large vehicles including a Unimog complete with a very large lifting device arrived, and I must admit to feeling rather apprehensive. I didn’t need to. From the outset, it was clear that ever single member of the team was very clear about their role. I quickly relaxed once I saw how incredibly careful they all were with every aspect of the job. Our orangery roof and glass sides were protected, plants were carefully handled, the grass was well protected even when the Unimog had to be driven onto the lawn and every precaution was taken to protect our house and garden.

The tree was removed with great expertise and Anna had efficiently organised the removal of the logs which were too large to be shredded. Once the tree had been removed, I was very impressed with the additional time taken to ensure that our garden was left tidy.

Hopefully we won’t need another ancient tree cutting down, but we know who we will be using for any future tree surgery. Thank you Anna and the team!

“Girls shouldn’t climb trees” – Well forget that idea! Anna, from ACW, was born to the job & anything tree maintenance related. Whilst being extremely professional she is also friendly & very approachable, happy to go the extra mile if the job needs. You won’t wait ages for her quote either, her admin is as professional as her work, right down to the final sweep up. ACW have done both domestic garden jobs for me removing some ancient conifers & commercial work taking the tops out of some frighteningly tall Poplars. I cannot reccomend Anna & ACW highly enough- just wish the Poplars would hurry up and grow so I can get her back !
